Finishing Touches to December!

Well we are rapidly heading towards last posting dates now for Christmas! I am personally as disorganised as ever with great ideas to be organised next year!

Last week was amazing with yet again a record number of sales!  People getting their first online sales, shops selling out of the item we featured and all the usual good natured liking, commenting and sharing making the reach of our page expand further and further!

The bookable slots are now available through January with very scarily a Valentines Day theme in the last week!

I'm just going to run through the booking process again in case anyone is unsure.



1.  Have a look at the upcoming themes to see which of your items fit into which themed category.


2.  Decide on whether you want to book a single day or book for 5 days which saves  you 20%.


3.  Purchase your chosen day or block of days from the drop down menu. The price is £2 for a day or £8 for 5 days.


4.  Email info@britishcrafters.co.uk with your item link for promotion. If you have booked for 5 days then you need to send 5 links.


5.  Links must be received by 9pm please on the day before you wish to be shared.


6.  Shop links work better than FB links as you can't Pin to Pinterest from FB.  If however you only sell from a Facebook page then we will work extra hard to promote your facebook page on both Facebook and Twitter.

7.  As soon as your shop link is received you will be pinned to the Featured Shops Pin board and your promotion starts.


8.  Sit back and let us do the hard work for you!

I just wanted to let you know that I have thoroughly enjoyed your fabulous Christmas FB promtions. I love looking at all the beautiful work created by such talented people. It is so good to see that you dont need to spend hours tramping the shopping centres looking for ideas, and getting depressed at the poor quality of goods, mostly imported, and overpriced.

I much prefer to either make my own gifts, or purchase from crafters who just love what they do, in their own homes, and produce such stunning work.

And best of all, I have managed to sell something from my Folksy shop every day this month so far!

What an Incredible Week!

What an incredible week we have had at British Crafters!  A record number of sales from Facebook with 1 shop reporting 11 sales after being featured! We also got a lovely Folksy shop their first ever sale which is very special!

Our page reach is up yet again which means that your work is getting out there further and further which is fantastic news!

We have had direct sales too from the Twitter Promotion which is fabulous!  Our weekly #twitterfest was very popular yet again and brought people into your shops!  Do take part if you are around for this - timings are announced in advance on both Twitter and Facebook and is a good way to build up your own followers and make similar contacts.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas!

Well Christmas is looming on the horizon and I'm sure some people are now organised, wrapped and good to go!  Not me, I have to say!  We had a parcel of goodies arrive from my organised cousin in New Zealand this week that reminded me I need to do some shopping!

The British Crafters page this week has been vibrant and busy - 4 Featured Shops had their shared items sold before 10am on Thursday!  One shop had 5 sales in a day and sprang into the Folksy Top 40 half way up the list!

Our page reach this week is up by a further 25% which is amazing and means that your gorgeous products are getting shown wider and further every day!

We celebrated our 6000th liker and in true British Crafters style had a fabulous party!  Thanks to all those that joined in the fun!

Booking is now open until 6th December.  The individual days themes can be seen in the drop down menus below the dates. We will continue to only take a limited number of bookable slots for each day so if you have your eye on a theme that is good for your shop don't leave it too late!  Please don't forget the option for 20% discount for 5 days booking - these can be mixed and matched from any of the weeks that are shown.

British Crafters Themes Update

Well, it's been an amazing Gift Guide Week with 100's of awesome products, lots of new shops found and a record number of sales!  Some of our "Promoted" shops have even made it onto the Folksy Best Seller List!  Awesome!

We continue now with the themes that will take us up to the end of November.  They are a mixture of Christmas and Non Christmas themes so we don't get Christmas burn out!

Of course we can get people to your shop but we can't make them spend their money!  It is worth making sure that your photos sell your product as well as they can and that your descriptions answer any potential questions a buyer might have! Also at this busy time of year make sure that you have all your packaging material ready and little thank you notes prepared to pop in with the parcel. Getting footfall to your shop is certainly half the battle won and try to turn each customer into a returning customer!
